Our work over the last 10 years with the new chemical thinner Brevis (Metamitron) has shown that Brevis can cause thinning over a wider range of fruit sizes and its thinning severity varies by year and is affected by environmental conditions in the days before and after application. The most important weather factors affecting thinning efficacy were solar radiation, minimum temperature (night) and maximum daily temperature on the day of application and for the next few days.ca
